As you might have seen, the website URL has changed some time ago. Unfortunately this resulted in a few broken links here and there. To counteract this gpl.c1.biz has updated it's pages. This should ensure no further problems arise, however if you do spot a problem be sure to send a message to Tommie van Ostade: ✉ email. Enjoy the improved website!

Virtual mirrors for 1966 Can-Am mod

TvO has lauched a new section of the Car Updates website, dedicated to the new 1966 Can-Am mod. The first addon for this mod consists of a set of virtual mirrors to aid in racing. Check them out by clicking on the TvO car updates button on the navigation bar, or by clicking here.

New head movement patch released!

Lee Bowden has released his latest patch, which enables head movement of the driver and computer opponents. He has called it the "Bobblehead Patch". It is considered yet another breakthrough for GPL. For the first time, you will be able to see Jim Clark lean into the corner, getting his head thrown back from the might of his Cosworth V8 powered Lotus 49, or thrown forward from the stopping power of his Girling brake discs. Lean from left to right in the Laguna Seca corkscrew in your mighty McLaren M8F Can-Am car, and have fun doing so!

Seperate replay folders for Mods

Curt Burns has released a fix that allows different replay folders to be used for each mod, to keep your replay file management nice and tidy. You can find them over at the SRMZ:

To install: extract the contents of the zip file into your GPL main folder and then check the " ** replay directory " box in GEM+ to enable it.

New Grand Prix Legends desktop icon!

To get rid of the old low resolution desktop icon, TvO has made a new one! To install just download the icon and place it somewhere safe on your PC, doesn't really matter where as long as you are able to find it back. Then go to your desktop and rightclick your GPL shortcut --> 'properties' --> change icon, then browse to where you placed the icon file on your PC.

1966 Brabham BT11 update by TvO released!

Tommie van Ostade has just released his latest car update. This time the Brabham BT11's from the 1966 mod have received a treatment. There are new car textures based on Pascal Celton's work, new wheels and new cockpit textures, as well as the option to drive different colored cars.

1966 Ferrari 312/66 update by TvO released!

Tommie van Ostade has just released his latest car update. This time the Ferrari 312 from the 1966 mod has received a treatment. The undertray has been remapped, the nose has been reshaped and retextured, there is a brand new cockpit with new steering wheel, and it comes complete with new wheel textures.

1971 Can-Am mod Historical Add-on v1.0 for GPL released!

The 1971 Can-Am mod team has released it's Historical Add-on v1.0! The new addon supersedes the team's previous Update Patch v1.0. It includes many refinements to the mod to reflect the changes the cars went though throughout the year. Online, these refinements are also apparent, resulting in a more diverse look for the cars.

Lee's Pitstop Patch v1.00 for GPL released!

GPL Physics guru Lee Bowden has released his latest patch, the Pitstop Patch v1.00 . It allows the player to refuel his or her car during races, which was previously unpossible. You can grab the Pitstop Patch v1.00 at it's release thread at the SimRacing Mirror Zone forums: here .
